Overview
The Address Book allows you to save and reuse addresses, making it faster and easier to create shipments on the UI. When you start typing a last name or company name in the shipment form, the Address Book will automatically suggest matching saved contacts. Selecting a contact will instantly fill in the address fields, saving you time and reducing errors.
Adding a Contact
You can add contacts to your Address Book in two ways: one at a time or by importing a list.
Adding a Single Contact
To save an address while creating a new shipment, simply fill out the shipment form as you normally would. Before submitting, check the box to add this contact to your Address Book. Once the shipment is created and allocated, the contact will be saved for future use.
Importing Multiple Contacts
If you have a lot of addresses to add, you can import them all at once using a CSV file.
- Navigate to Address Book > Import Contacts.
- On this page, use the file uploader to select your CSV file.
When preparing your CSV file, please make sure it includes the following columns in this specific order. Either Last Name or Company is required, and Country is always required.
- First Name
- Last Name (Either company name or last name is required)
- Company (Either company name or last name is required)
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Address Line 1
- Address Line 2
- Address Line 3
- City
- County/State
- Postcode
- Country (Required)
Viewing Your Contacts
You can view all your saved contacts by going to the Address Book page. The table displays key information for each contact, including their first name, last name, company, address, email, phone number, and the date the contact was added.
By default, the table is sorted by the Added date, showing the newest contacts first. You can also sort the table by Last Name or Company by clicking on the column headers.
To find a specific contact, use the search bar to search by name or company.
Using a Saved Contact
Using a saved contact is simple and helps you quickly create new shipments. On the create shipment form, start typing a name in the Last Name or Company Name field. As you type, a dropdown menu will appear with matching contacts from your Address Book.
Select the contact you want, and the system will automatically fill in all the corresponding address fields for you.
Deleting a Contact
There are three ways to delete contacts from your Address Book.
- Single Deletion: To delete an individual contact, click the delete button located in its row in the contacts table.
- Bulk Deletion: To delete multiple contacts at once, select the desired rows in the table, then choose Delete from the Bulk Actions dropdown menu.
- Delete All: To clear your entire Address Book, click the Delete All button and confirm your choice in the pop-up window.
