Once your rules are created, you can manage them via the shipping rules list page.
Actions
From the list table, you can perform the following actions on each rule:
Edit: Modify the rule name, conditions, or allocation settings.
Copy (duplicate): Create an exact copy of the rule with all settings, which you can then modify. This saves time when creating similar rules.
Delete: Permanently remove the rule from your system.
Active/Deactivate: Toggle whether a rule should be considered when allocating to incoming shipments using the switch at the start of each row.
To access the edit, copy, and delete options, click the vertical ellipses button (⋮) on the far right end of each row.
A deactivated rule will be visually greyed out and skipped during shipment allocation.
Rule priority
Important: Prioritisation. Shipping rules operate in a waterfall (cascading) manner. The system evaluates rules from top to bottom in order. The first rule whose conditions match a shipment is the one that gets applied. If the first rule cannot be allocated (its conditions don't match), the system moves to the next rule, and so on until a suitable rule is found or all rules are exhausted.
This waterfall approach means you should prioritise your rules strategically:
Place specific rules (those with narrow, strict conditions) at the top of the list.
Place generic or catch-all rules (those with broader conditions) further down the list.
Example: Rule 1 targets "High-value orders (> £500) - Premium next-day carrier" (specific). Rule 2 targets "All UK orders - Standard carrier" (generic). A £600 order will match Rule 1 first and use the premium carrier, while a £50 order will skip Rule 1 and match Rule 2, using the standard carrier.
To change a rule's priority, simply drag and drop it into its new position. The list will update in real time. Because rule priority is critical to allocation logic, you must confirm the change by clicking the "Save priority" button in the bottom footer to ensure no unintentional changes are made.
Warning: If you attempt to navigate away from the page without saving, a confirmation dialog will appear asking whether you want to discard your changes. Be sure to save before leaving to prevent losing changes.
