To create a new capacity limit, click the Create Capacity Limit button on the list page to open the multi-step form.
Step 1: Capacity name
First, enter a Capacity Name. We recommend a name that includes the carrier, service, or warehouse to make it easy to identify later in your shipment rules (e.g., Evri Next Day - London).
Step 2: Scope of capacity
Next, define how this limit will be applied and tracked:
Carrier: Select the specific carrier associated with this capacity limit.
Count capacity by: Decide how your volume is tracked - either at the Consignment/Shipment level, or at the individual Package/Label level.
Important: The Carrier and 'Count capacity by' settings cannot be changed once the capacity limit has been saved.
Step 3: Volume limits
In this section, you will define your operational schedule and daily volume limits.
Timezone
By default, the system pre-selects the timezone of your current location. If this capacity limit applies to a warehouse in a different region, click the dropdown to change it.
Important: The timezone cannot be edited once the limit is created. All warehouses using this limit will share this timezone.
Daily Limits & Cut-offs
For each day of the week, you can configure your expected volume and operating hours:
Minimum (target): The lowest volume you aim to give to this carrier.
Maximum (cap): The absolute maximum volume the carrier can take. Once this number is reached, the dispatch cycle is marked as met and no further shipments will be allocated for that day.
Dispatch cut-off: The specific time the carrier collects or when the day's picking and packing for dispatch ends (e.g., 19:30). This time defines your dispatch cycle.
Excluding Days
If your warehouse or carrier does not operate or collect on a specific day (like Sunday), simply leave the Dispatch cut-off field blank to exclude it. Any volume allocated after the previous day's cut-off will automatically roll over to your next active dispatch cycle.
