Overview:
The Volume report provides comprehensive insights into the volume of your manifested shipments, packages, and items. It allows you to:
- Quickly view your total manifested shipment, package, and item volumes, along with daily and weekly average volumes.
- Gain insight into how your manifested shipment volume is trending over time.
- Visualise manifested shipment volume by country.
- Compare carrier and service volume.
Use this report to gain a clear understanding of your shipping activities and make informed decisions to optimise your operations.
Filtering:
Quick filters:
Quick manifested date range filters are located in the top header of the dashboard. These predefined date ranges allow you to quickly filter the data displayed on the dashboard by specific time periods.
Advanced filters:
More advanced filtering can be achieved via the right side panel. You can filter by:
- Manifested date: Define a more precise manifested date range.
- Carrier/Service: Select the carrier and service for which you would like to view volume.
- Country/City: Select the destination countries and cities where shipments are meant to be delivered.
- Warehouse: Filter the volume by a specific warehouse.
KPI’s status bar:
Right after the filters, you will see a status bar that provides information about your volume. It includes key metrics that offer valuable insights. These KPIs can be toggled by Shipments, Packages, or Items to display relevant volume metrics for each category.
- Total volume: This shows the total number of manifested shipments / packages / items for the selected manifested date range filter.
- Daily average volume: This shows the average daily volume of manifested shipments / packages / items for the selected manifested date range filter.
- Weekly average volume: This shows the average weekly volume of manifested shipments / packages / items for the selected manifested date range filter.
Clicking the ‘View Details’ button in the total shipments KPI will open a table in a modal dialog. This table displays your manifested shipment volume categorised by carrier, service, and country.
The Packages and Items KPIs display the same metrics as Shipments, with the following additional metrics:
- Average packages per shipment: This shows the average number of packages per shipment.
- Average items per shipment: This shows the average number of items per shipment.
Volume over time:
This graph illustrates how your manifested shipment volume has trended over the specified time period in the filters. Within the graph, you can further filter the data by day or week to view either a more granular or panoramic timeframe perspective.
Volume by carrier / service:
This graph displays your manifested shipment volume categorised by carrier and service. Monitor which carrier ships the most and which services within a carrier are more popular than others. By default, the graph shows data for carriers only. Click the ‘Service’ button within the graph to display a breakdown of services as well.
Alongside the graph, there is a carousel highlighting the growth in volume per carrier compared to the previous period. Clicking ‘View Details’ will open a table in a modal dialog. This table displays your shipment volume categorised by carrier, service, and country.
Volume by country / city:
Utilise our interactive map to visually analyse your shipment volume based on destination countries. This provides an insightful overview of how your manifested shipments are distributed geographically. Additionally, you can easily identify the top 10 cities by shipment volume, offering a detailed perspective on where your shipments are most concentrated.
